Fly Tipping Process  Flow Improvement Project

This project handles the real world scenario where a borough in United Kingdom manages fly tipping. Club members will work on taking the details of the seps executed by each role and designing the AS-IS process flows diagram to represent it.

Then club members will develop the skill of identifying inefficiencies in processes. They will work on conceptualizing a new future state process flow diagram that will reduce waste, eliminate inefficiencies and avoid rework.

In this project club members got a hands on experience of designing a complex process flow from a real world process. They learned how to think through the complexity to identify inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.

AS-IS Process Example

Session 1 – Understanding the AS-IS Process

In this session we discussed the the details of the fly tipping process. The club members each also designed the AS-IS process flow diagram.

Video is will only show for logged in club members.

Session 2 - Identifying Inefficiencies in the Process Flow

In this session we reviewed the AS-IS process flow and identified the inefficiencies in the Fly Tipping Process.

Session 3 - The Future State "To-Be" Process Flow Diagrams

In this session, club members discuss their process flow diagrams for the as-is state for the improved Fly Tipping process flow.
